VAMFF wrap-up

Hours and hours of preparation are jammed into one week of fashion shows. From fitting models, to taping bottoms of shoes - you name it we did it.

Here is a glimpse of what happens backstage, front of stage, rehearsals, front row and everything in between.

Beauty dupe

We all love our dark smokey eyes, and when we see convenient quads in shades of greys, silvers and blacks, who can go past Chanel.

However, when you see a price-tag in the hundreds, for very little shadow, with very little pigment, we can start looking at dupes.

Cue MAC's latest mineralise eye shadow quads, for only $72.

 

With greater pigment than Chanel (but less then MAC's individual eye shadows), you're getting more bang for your buck.

So grab your brushes, that picture of Kim Kardashian, and start blending those smokey colours.

Oscar wrap-up

One word was on the stylists mind this Oscar Awards red-carpet...."Monochrome".

It's all in the Brows

People often ask me where I get my eyebrows done - the truth is...I DON'T.

Recently I have discovered the Benefit Cosmetics 'Gimme Brow' gel.

This gel retails for $35 at all Myer stores - and comes in both a light or dark shade (I use the light).
The wand is similar to a mascara wand, only miniature. The gel is easy to use, and sets fast.

Here is a comparison of my left brow (where product was used), and my right brow (which is untouched).

You can see the left brow is much more defined, and fuller, than the right side.
